Doc, I want to thank you for this. I only wish this could be come the new Hippocratic Oath. These are some of the principles I try to adhere to in my psychotherapy practice, far from perfectly. Respect.
Thank you, Dr Zha. I'm not your patient, and I'm not in America, but as a disabled person with a lot of medical trauma, I still needed to hear this right now. 💗
I wish so hard you could be my doctor! On your list of 50, most have affected me in some way. It's gotten better as I've hunted for female doctors, but then again my worst encounter ever was with a female neurologist. Kind of shattered my world.
Thank you for this substack. It's one of the few things that give me hope that maybe medicine will someday grow up and be kind.
Yes. One personal one: My humanity is nourished by being a doctor and caring for others. I really like humans and I try to be a good one. Whenever I am a conduit for healing, it nourishes me. That’s why I do it. I agree with these affirmations not because I am supposed to, but because doing them brings me joy.
No human distress is ever “nothing.” I never say that to patients. It’s awesome rude.
Oh yeah. I strive to NEVER have a patient leave a visit with unasked questions. My skill is how to give patients all the time in the world, and still stay on time. It can be done. It should be taught. Once a month maybe I need to end a visit before it’s all out. It makes me sad. Rare indeed it is.
You are an amazing human being Dr. Zha. Doctors need to learn from people like you about respect and how to see patients as a human being. Thank you for being such a humble and down-to-earth medical practitioner ♥️

YOU are who all doctors should be! 💜

Thank you ✨️ If you had a database for drs. that were even 1/4 of Team Patient as you are, I'd be allover it.
Wish I was in your state, I can't even truly imagine what my medical care would be like if I had one (1) Dr. like you.
All the flowers for you 💐

Your patients are very fortunate, indeed, Dr. Zha. 🩷
Beautiful. More power to you!
Well out and well said

How awesome a doctor are you?! Sadly, almost seems too good to be true given what we experience with most doctors. Thank you, thank you…
